What This Page Covers

This page explains how Tabinoko is researched, written, and corrected. For who’s behind the site, see the About page.

How We Research

Every article starts from one of three sources, and we try to keep them distinct:

Firsthand experience means that when a guide describes a place we’ve actually visited with our kids, we note it as our own experience, not as a general claim about what “families” do.

Official information covers prices, hours, ticketing rules, and similar details, all sourced from the venue, operator, or relevant government body. These details change over time, so we check them against the current official source whenever we update an article, not just when we first write it.

Third-party reports are anything we haven’t verified ourselves. In those cases, we say so rather than presenting the information as firsthand knowledge.

We also use AI tools to help with research and first drafts. In every article, the judgment calls about what’s actually worth recommending, what surprised us, and what we’d do differently next time are ours, based on checking things ourselves.

Updates and “Information Checked” Dates

Each article shows an “Information checked” month. That’s the month we last confirmed the article’s practical details, such as prices, hours, and access, against current sources. It isn’t necessarily the last time we edited a sentence for clarity.

Corrections

If something in an article is out of date or incorrect, please let us know through the Contact page. We read every message ourselves, check it against the current official source or our own experience, and aim to correct confirmed errors within about a week.
